Midwest Skies and West Coast Dreams is the brainchild of Shawn Brouwer while he was living in Missouri. While looking up at the sky one night he realized he was looking at a clear Midwest sky but longed for his home in California.
Shawn has been blogging since 2003, but decided to take a more active approach to his blog starting in 2008.
Shawn is a web producer for Internet Broadcasting Systems and is located in Sacramento. He blogs about sports (especially when athletes find themselves in trouble with the law), daily news, and how technology affects the media industry.
David Lish is a contributing author to Midwest Skies and West Coast Dreams and began writing in April of 2008. David works in Silicon Valley and writes about technology, finance and sports.
